What a busy and fun filled holiday season we have had!!! The kids amazingly stayed perfectly healthy and were able to attend each and every holiday gathering which was such a blessing! Dan and I cherish our two solid weeks home as a family and adored all of our time we spent with family and friends during our time off. We seemed to keep busy each and every day which was great!
Thank you to all of you for sharing your Christmas spirit with our kids! They were showered with gifts galore that should keep them busy for quite a while! Most importantly, thank you for loving them as much as you do!
It's back to school and work tomorrow for the Kalo household. Routine is good but it's also nice to wake up without alarm clocks (well, sort of ... waking up to Callie and Daniel is better than a screeching alarm clock), grab breakfast at Mayberry Diner if desired, and squeeze in lots of play time with cousins and family!
Over the holidays, we also tried our best to plan and prepare for baby #3 who will be here in 6 short weeks...yikes! We are anxious to meet this little guy and see what sort of personality he holds! We loved that Callie asked 101 questions about Santa, reindeer, elves, etc... and that Daniel squealed in delight when we would pass a home with Christmas lights displayed. It's the little things...
We took the kids to the Noon Years Eve celebration at the Toledo Zoo and toasted to 2013 with apple juice and funky sunglasses (forgot the camera to take a few shots of this cute party)! We were in bed by 10 pm and didn't feel that we missed out one bit! We are thankful for a fairly good 2012 and looking forward all that 2013 holds! Happy New Years!
Callie sang her little heart out at the Preschool Christmas Program!
She was loving each and every minute of it!!! Dan and I can't believe how grown up she is now :(
Christmas Eve photo shoot
Daniel got to help make blueberry muffins and brownies for the first time :)
He also "helped" Dan paint over the pink in Callie's room so it's more neutral for when they become roomies :)
Christmas Eve Mass
We went to Nonnie Kalo's house for a Christmas Eve gift exchange after mass!
Christmas morning was delightful! Both of our parents stopped in for breakfast and to see what goodies the kids received from Santa!
Abair family party at Aunt LueAnn's home!
Nonnie Lindsay brought over a hot cocoa kit and the kids added in marshmallow snowmen and candy canes ... yum!!!
